Check conservatoire websites for deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>Speak to Music staff in and out of school and begin application process.<\/p>\n<p>Medicine, Vet Medicine, Dentistry &#8211;\u00a0Register for Admissions Tests. See Miss McGugan and begin application process. Also look into applying for REACH\/ Top Up (See Miss McGugan).<\/p>\n<p>Oxford and Cambridge application <strong>deadlines mid\u00a0October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>August\/September<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Higher Education Exhibition \u2013 attend and research specific university courses.<\/li>\n<li>University Open Days \u2013 visit universities to research course choices further by speaking to staff, attending lectures and getting the feel of the campus.<\/li>\n<li>Many universities are doing virtual open days this session \u2013 just log onto the university web sites for information on this<\/li>\n<li>Top Up\/ REACH Programme \u2013 find out about this from Miss McGugan and apply if interested.<\/li>\n<li>Careers Interview \u2013 arrange to discuss career and course choices, if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>September\/ October<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Begin to write Personal Statement \u2013 in PSE lesson, <strong>1<sup>st<\/sup> draft to Pastoral Care Teacher beginning\u00a0 of October or earlier.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Early deadline applications sent off for \u2013 CUKAS, Medicine, Vet Medicine, Dentistry.<\/li>\n<li>Hand out references to subject teachers prior to the October holiday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>October\/November<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Redraft Personal Statement with feedback from Pastoral Care Teacher.<\/li>\n<li>Complete full application including Personal Statement.<\/li>\n<li>Pay and send application to PC teacher for school reference to be added. <strong>Deadline early November<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>November \/ December<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications checked and sent to UCAS before Xmas.<\/li>\n<li>Receive confirmation \/receipt of application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>January<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track application on line using TRACK<\/li>\n<li>Apply for College places as Back Up\/Plan B.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UCAS Timeline and key dates June Register with APPLY.
