An astronomer views the following objects in the night sky:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 180px\">Jupiter, which orbits the Sun;<br \/>\nEuropa, which orbits Jupiter;<br \/>\nThe Andromeda Galaxy.<\/p>\n<p>a) Which of the objects mentioned is a moon?<\/p>\n<p>b) Which of the objects mentioned is a planet?<\/p>\n<p>c) Which of the objects mentioned is a star?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Scientists searching for exoplanets use the Astronomical Unit. 1 A.U. is the distance from the Sun to Earth. The \u201cHabitable Zone\u201d is the range of distances from a star which could be suitable for a planet to support life.<\/p>\n<p>If a planet is orbiting a star which is twice as luminous (bright) as the Sun:<\/p>\n<p>a) Provide an estimate of the distance that the planet would have to be from the star in Astronomical Units.<\/p>\n<p>b) Give a reason for your answer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
