1.  State the definition of a species.  (1)

 

 2.  Variation which occurs in species can be continuous or discrete.

From the list below place the characteristics into the correct column of the table.

  1. An S3 Biology class decided to investigate a statement found in a textbook that said ‘blue is the most common eye colour in the UK.’

In the class that day, they examined each other’s eye colour and noted the difference. The results are shown below:

 (i)  Use the results to construct and label the pie chart.  (2)

(ii)  Calculate the percentage of pupils in the class who have green eyes. (1)
