{"id":72,"date":"2024-11-13T23:03:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T23:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hyndlandsecondary\/?page_id=72"},"modified":"2025-05-27T15:31:48","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T14:31:48","slug":"enrolments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hyndlandsecondary\/enrolments\/","title":{"rendered":"Enrolments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>HOW TO ENROL AT HYNDLAND<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>IF YOUR CHILD ATTENDS ONE OF OUR ASSOCIATED PRIMARY SCHOOLS<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Primary School will provide you with information about\u00a0<b>HYNDLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You should also receive monthly the Hyndland News, which contains information about life at Hyndland.<\/p>\n<p>You will also be able to meet\u00a0Mrs Edgerton\u00a0(Head Teacher) or Ms Letford (Depute Head Teacher Transition) at meetings in the Primary Schools, and at Hyndland.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to visit the School, we will be delighted to show you around and to answer any questions which you may have.<\/p>\n<p>Thereafter the Primary Head Teachers will provide the names of pupils who will be enrolling in Hyndland Secondary School.<\/p>\n<p>Parents need take no further action provided they are resident within the catchment area. If you are not resident within the catchment area and would like your child to attend Hyndland Secondary further information is available on the Glasgow website below<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/index.aspx?articleid=9468\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">www.glasgow.gov.uk\/index.aspx?articleid=9468<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Parents of P7 pupils are invited to an initial meeting in the secondary school in October then to an\u00a0Open Evening\u00a0in March\u00a0and there is a further special meeting for Primary parents held in\u00a0May at Hyndland.<\/p>\n<p>Meantime all pupils in Primary 7 visit Hyndland for lessons on at least FOUR occasions before June, when they have a two-day visit on which they follow a Secondary Timetable. Hyndland teachers also visit the Primary classrooms regularly. The Learning Support Teachers work with Primary Teachers.
