in fact the number of young people receiving Free School Meals has fallen at our school.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are some facts about Free School Meals.\u00a0 We hope you will consider applying if you think your family may be entitled to this money.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How is it paid?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A Q-Card will be issued to your young person allowing them to spend up\u00a0<a>to \u00a31.90 per day.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0As ALL our young people are issued with Q-Cards this system is very discrete.\u00a0 In the past there may have been some embarrassment for young people as it was easy to tell who received free school meals.\u00a0 With the system we have now, nobody knows.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What can it be spent on?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Q-Card can be used to buy food at school during breakfast, lunch or interval<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I<b>s my family entitled to Free School Meals?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Click the following link to find out<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/article\/17885\/Clothing-Grants-and-Free-School-Meals\">Clothing Grants and Free School Meals &#8211; Glasgow City Council<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How do I apply?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Even if a young person already receives free school meals and\/or clothing grant and the family circumstances have not changed\u00a0<b>you must reapply every year<\/b>.\u00a0 The application window opens in June each year and you should aim to\u00a0<b>complete this by the August<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are making a new application then you can do one of the following-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply online by clicking the link above.\u00a0 You will need to register by\u00a0creating a my gov account\u00a0and complete an online form.\u00a0 You will need to upload documents confirming eligibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can use the same form to apply for a clothing grant,\u00a0<b>you need to tick the box to apply for both, otherwise you will need to complete the form again.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Can I get help filling in the form?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Yes.\u00a0 You can contact your young person&#8217;s Pastoral Care teacher and they can refer you to our Financial Inclusion Support Officer, Marija Arbetiere, who will arrange a face to face or phone appointment.\u00a0 Or you can contact Marija directly \u2013 her contact details can be found by clicking the link below<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/glowscotland-my.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/g\/personal\/gw17gilliesjohn_glow_sch_uk\/Ee4SSVBRR69EkdBJXkGNgcgBayBCCl1M_YlOm7EJ4ClAMA?e=gO85rg\">FISO Support For Families booklet &#8211;
