in our school\u00a0this means we understand that all children are different and we learn in different ways, at different rates. \u00a0When young people need it, support is provided and offered in a way which suits the individual.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>2. <strong>\u00a0The environment offers a safe base<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4040 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/hyndlandps\/uploads\/sites\/7106\/2020\/10\/23233048\/unnamed.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"143\" \/> &#8211; in our school this means ALL young people should feel they are welcome and belong in our school. \u00a0Staff are proactive in their efforts to show an interest in them and there is always a safe place for them in our school if they are finding it difficult to cope.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">3. <strong>\u00a0The importance of nurture for the development of wellbeing<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4045\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/hyndlandps\/uploads\/sites\/7106\/2020\/10\/24000637\/06_Ways-to-Make-Your-Kids-More-Emotionally-Resilient_149760860_AtthameeNi-380x254-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">&#8211; in our school we aim to recognise all kinds of achievement; we celebrate success and promote the recognition that we all need to develop skills for a healthy and happy life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0<strong>Language is a vital means of communication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4038 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/hyndlandps\/uploads\/sites\/7106\/2020\/10\/23233040\/1111restorativejustice_600x447-e1519349310344.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"178\" \/> &#8211; in our school we model and support young people to have positive, consistent, calm and respectful interactions with each other. \u00a0We are working on using restorative approaches to conflict resolution, and have plans to continue the development to this approach.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>5. \u00a0<strong>All behaviour is communication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4041 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/hyndlandps\/uploads\/sites\/7106\/2020\/10\/23233425\/8b6347_1dfacb363d254bfab0cf536a1f3a3d98mv2_d_1600_1600_s_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"185\" \/> &#8211;
