{"id":139,"date":"2016-10-12T14:54:03","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T13:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hyndlandps\/?page_id=139"},"modified":"2026-02-19T14:34:04","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T13:34:04","slug":"school-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hyndlandps\/school-information\/","title":{"rendered":"School Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Our School Day<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our school day starts at 9:00am and finishes at 3:15pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>P1 pupils should line up in the P1 playground.<\/li>\n<li>P2 pupils should line up in the P2 playground at the glass doors.<\/li>\n<li>P3 pupils should line up in the P2 playground beside the main door.<\/li>\n<li>P4 pupils should line up in the P1 playground.<\/li>\n<li>P5 pupils should line up in playground 2 at the main door.<\/li>\n<li>P6 pupils should line up in playground 2 at the glass doors.<\/li>\n<li>P7 pupils should line up in playground 3 at the gym hall glass doors beside the bike shed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The playground will be open from 8:45am, however there will be no adult supervision until 9:00am when the bell goes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Capacity <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current Roll (as of February 2026): 432<\/p>\n<p>Maximum Roll 483<\/p>\n<p>Primary 1: Maximum 25<\/p>\n<p>Primary 2 and Primary 3: Maximum 30<\/p>\n<p>Primary 4-7: Maximum 33<\/p>\n<p>We currently have three classes at P1 where classes must be smaller and two classes at each of stages Primary 2 to Primary 7.<\/p>\n<p>The school covers stages Primary 1-7, is non-denominational and caters for both boys and girls.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Children normally start school between the ages of 4 1\/2 and 5 1\/2 and complete 7 years of primary education when they then transfer to secondary school.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hyndland Primary School is part of the Hyndland Learning Community.
