Science is everywhere.<\/p>\n
At Hillpark we help to prepare pupils for the future by educating them in the importance of Science’s role in the modern world. During S1 and S2, pupils will follow the CfE Science Broad General Education which includes topics covering: Planet Earth<\/em>, Forces, Electricity and Waves<\/em>,\u00a0 Biological Systems<\/em>, Materials<\/em> and Topical Science<\/em>.<\/p>\n Pupils will develop their inquiry and investigative skills by taking part in practical activities and experiments as well as enhancing their analytical and thinking skills during well structured and engaging lessons. We hope to enable all pupils to become scientifically literate citizens in the future.<\/p>\n There are also numerous wider achievement opportunities available throughout the year to enhance interest in Science and give insight to exciting future career paths.<\/p>\n In S3 pupils have the option to pick up to 2 Science subjects to take forward into the National courses, with the option of picking up a 3rd in S5 or S6.<\/p>\n The Science courses offered at Hillpark include:<\/p>\n Science is everywhere.
