The children in P2\/1 have been learning all about barn owls this term through the book The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark.<\/p>\n

We have been doing a lot of work on telling the time to work out what Plop the barn owl is doing at different times of the day and night. Primary 1s have been working on o’clock and Primary 2s have been working on o’clock and half-past:<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Plop is a night bird who wants to be awake in the day time so the children have been organising some activities that we all do into day and night jobs:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We have also used Scratch on the iPads to draw Plop the barn owl and then create a background of his home in the tree with either a day or night sky. Next the children were able to programme Plop to fly across the screen.<\/p>\n
