{"id":10201,"date":"2020-04-01T15:47:33","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T15:47:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hillingtonprimary\/?p=10201"},"modified":"2020-04-01T15:47:33","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T15:47:33","slug":"glasgows-help-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hillingtonprimary\/2020\/04\/01\/glasgows-help-hub\/","title":{"rendered":"Glasgow&#8217;s Help Hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new Glasgow hub has been created to help people struggling amid the Coronavirus crisis &#8211; linking them to organisations and volunteers who are keen to help.<\/p>\n<p>Council and Health and Social Care Partnership staff have teamed up with GCVS, Volunteer Glasgow and Scotland Cares to create a hub which people can contact for help or to volunteer their services.<\/p>\n<p>A new helpline\u00a0has been set up to act as a single point of contact for anyone seeking or offering help.\u00a0Volunteers can help \u00a0with tasks such as shopping or food delivery or simply having a daily phone call with someone who is being forced to self-isolate.<\/p>\n<p><em>The helpline will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and can be contacted on <strong>0141 345 0543<\/strong>. It is staffed by volunteers from across the partner organisations and demand is expected to be high so please be patient.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in volunteering registration is fast and easy.
