A new Glasgow hub has been created to help people struggling amid the Coronavirus crisis – linking them to organisations and volunteers who are keen to help.<\/p>\n
Council and Health and Social Care Partnership staff have teamed up with GCVS, Volunteer Glasgow and Scotland Cares to create a hub which people can contact for help or to volunteer their services.<\/p>\n
A new helpline\u00a0has been set up to act as a single point of contact for anyone seeking or offering help.\u00a0Volunteers can help \u00a0with tasks such as shopping or food delivery or simply having a daily phone call with someone who is being forced to self-isolate.<\/p>\n
The helpline will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and can be contacted on 0141 345 0543<\/strong>. It is staffed by volunteers from across the partner organisations and demand is expected to be high so please be patient.<\/em><\/p>\n If you are interested in volunteering registration is fast and easy.
