Parents are asked to inform the <strong>P<\/strong>upil <strong>A<\/strong>bsence and <strong>A<\/strong>ppointment <strong>R<\/strong>eporting team <strong><u>(Tel: 0141 287 0039)<\/u><\/strong> if their child is going to be absent.\u00a0 This should be done before 9.30 am on each day of absence.\u00a0 If the child is going to be absent for some time, it would be helpful to know at the earliest opportunity.\u00a0 The school uses daily text messaging to inform parents of their child\u2019s absence if no contact is made.\u00a0 All unexplained absence is investigated by the school and appropriate action taken.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appointments <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your child has an unavoidable appointment (i.e. doctors\/dental\/hospital), please contact <strong>P<\/strong>upil <strong>A<\/strong>bsence and <strong>A<\/strong>ppointment <strong>R<\/strong>eporting team <strong><u>(Tel: 0141 287 0039)<\/u><\/strong> and then collect them from the school office at the specified time.\u00a0 Appointments can be reported in advance.<\/p>\n<p>The PAAR team email the school office with the details of the absence\/appointment and this is then passed to the class teacher.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absence Within Hillington Primary School good attendance is encouraged at all times.
