Hillhead Jazz band are based in Hillhead High School in the west end of Glasgow.<\/p>\n

They sometimes play jazz … and always have vocalists.<\/p>\n

Soul, Funk, Rock has been known to feature in the band’s repertoire.<\/p>\n

A set will contain tunes from our up to date Set List<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Over the years the band have briefly also been known as The Brenda Collective, The Urban Duvets and The HJBs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We are, and have always been, open to experimentation with the repertoire and instrumental make up of the band.<\/p>\n

Fresh off stage in December 2022 playing their first gig as a band.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The 2019 line-up features, vocals, rhythm section, violin, cello and clarinet, perfectly suited for tunes like Agnes Obel’s “Familiar”.<\/p>\n

Previously, the Hillhead Jazz Band were fortunate enough to have a “horn” section featuring violin, French horn\u00a0and bassoon..<\/p>\n
