{"id":1399,"date":"2018-12-03T12:03:26","date_gmt":"2018-12-03T12:03:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hillheadhigh\/?page_id=1399"},"modified":"2025-05-15T08:46:49","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T08:46:49","slug":"communication-with-parents","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/hillheadhigh\/parent-zone\/communication-with-parents\/","title":{"rendered":"Communication"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Hillhead High we communicate with parents in a number of ways.<\/p>\n<p>You will find a wealth of information on our school website and our School Twitter account @HillheadHS.<\/p>\n<p>We also regularly send messages out to parents. <strong>However, sending text messages costs money and we would ask that, if possible, you download the Groupcall Xpressions app.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Step 1: Complete the Groupcall form\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/public\/hillheadhigh\/uploads\/sites\/7656\/2018\/12\/Groupcall-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Groupcall form<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill in a form and give us your mobile number and your email as well as your permission to use those to contact you via the app.<\/li>\n<li>You can get the form from the school, or download it, print it, fill it in and give it to the school.<\/li>\n<li>Once this is done, download the app (see below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 2: Get the App<\/h2>\n<p>Groupcall Xpressions is a free app that will allow us to keep you informed and save money. If you are unable to enter details successfully you will need to speak to your school office.\u00a0If you are sure you have entered information\u00a0correctly but you still see an error message, it is likely that the school records are incorrect so please contact your school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>3. \u00a0Enter your mobile number and click \u2018Next\u2019.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>When you have entered details correctly you will receive a text message to your mobile phone containing a 6\u00a0digit code.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>4. \u00a0Enter this code on screen and press \u2018Login\u2019.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>If you do not receive a\u00a0code, use the \u2018Resend Code\u2019 function. However there can be delays due to mobile phone providers and other factors outside of the control of Xpressions and the school so please wait for at least 5 minutes and ensure you are in an area with mobile phone coverage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>5. \u00a0Create a Password (Recommended).<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It is recommended that you create a password for your account at this stage. If you need to login again, or on another device, having a password will make the process easier.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>___________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Wider Achievement Questionnaire<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We want to hear about all of the fantastic achievements of our young people outside of school so that we can celebrate this through tweets, wall displays, etc. Please let us know about any clubs they are participating in, skills they are learning, experiences they have had or anything else.
