House Groups are essential, they create community spirit and give the children an opportunity to contribute to the vision and values set out by all stakeholders of the life and ethos of Highpark Primary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The House System creates a<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>visible and consistent approach to promoting positive behaviour<\/strong><\/span>,<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">whilst<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800080\"><strong>developing a shared understanding of positive behaviour<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\">will all pupils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>House Groups<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Murray\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff9900\">Rowling\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000\">Burns\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Connery<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Each House Group is represented by a House Captain from Primary 7 and a Vice-Captain from Primary 6. These roles are democratically chosen each school year through a whole school Election processes.<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">House points are awarded to pupils who demonstrate skills, knowledge, and understanding of the core principles of the Four Capacities, School Values, and the pupil contract outlined in classroom behaviour management strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>1 House Point\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Pupils demonstrate consistently good behaviour linked to their co-created Classroom Charter; this is the expectation for <em>all <\/em>pupils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>5 House Points\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Linked to the demonstration of one of the school values; Inclusion, Kindness, Fairness, Respect, Honesty, and Achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>10 House Points\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Exceptional effort in social, emotional and\/ or academic aspects of school life, whilst also recognising wider achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">At the end of each term, the winning House will receive a Reward Trip \u2013 <em>this will be approved by a member of SMT closer to the end of each term<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>2019 &#8211; 2020 House Representatives\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Lily MacLeod &#8211;<\/span> <em>Murray Captain<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Hollie Kozansoy &#8211;<\/span> <em>Murray Vice-Captain<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Ruby Campbell &#8211; <\/span><em>Rowling Captain\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Anthony McFadyen &amp; Blair Logan &#8211; <\/span><em>Rowling Vice-Captain<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #008000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Scott Qu &#8211;<\/span> <em>Burns Captain<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Adi Thukar &#8211;<\/span> <em>Burns Vice-Captain<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Kiera Boon &#8211;<\/span> <em>Connery Captain<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Lewis Lee &#8211;<\/span> <em>Connery Vice-Captain<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pupil Zone The pupils at Highpark Primary and LCR enjoy a rich and varied curriculum, supported by many exciting learning opportunities within our local and wider communities.
