Scotland\u2019s curriculum \u2013 Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) \u2013 helps our children and young people gain the knowledge, skills and attributes needed for life in the 21st century. It is divided into two phases: the broad general education and the senior phase. As a primary school we work on the broad general education stage which involves giving our pupils a wide range of experiences and outcomes that cover a variety of different topics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pupils work on a number of thematic learning topics over the school year. To ensure relevance for learners with complex additional support needs, our learning contexts are designed around real-life learning experiences which motivate and engage learners. At school assemblies and in classes, we embrace every opportunity to celebrate the achievements of individuals. We have devised an annual programme for religious observances to ensure that we celebrate cultural and religious events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
