November Fun in Our Classroom! 🍂🦉
November has been a busy and exciting month full of learning and fun!
In literacy, the children have loved reading The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark and using it to inspire our Descriptive Bubble writing. We’ve been building brilliant sentences, choosing exciting words and growing our writing confidence!
In numeracy, we’ve been skip counting our way through games and challenges using hands-on activities and online with Topmarks. We’ve also been cracking addition using doubles, near doubles, number bonds and partitioning – maths has been busy but brilliant!
Our Scotland topic has been a big hit! The children have enjoyed exploring maps, learning about Scottish culture, symbols, myths and legends. We’ve also got creative with tartan designs and thistle art – our classroom has been full of colour!
We’ve loved sharing the story Granny’s Magic Bag, linking it to our Scotland topic by discovering Scottish words and phrases. We also took time to learn about Remembrance Day through thoughtful discussions and meaningful activities.
In P.E., we’ve been getting active with Ceilidh dancing and practicing our ball skills – lots of movement, energy and smiles all round!
What a fantastic November it has been! 🎉
