The Yardbird Suite is a bebop standard written by one of the most important names in Jazz, the alto player Charlie Parker. He is one of\u00a0a few\u00a0key figures\u00a0 responsible for creating a new language of improvisation which has become the basis of what followed. Other innovators in developing bebop are the trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, and the piano players, Thelonious Monk and Bud Powell.<\/p>\n
