Each meeting is themed around the needs of members, and over the last few years we have covered various topics, working in partnership with community organisations and Education colleagues (our Guest Speakers), who bring and share their knowledge.\u00a0 Topics have included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Family ESOL<\/li>\n<li>Family Learning for P4-7<\/li>\n<li>Poverty Awareness and Cost of School Day Initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Funding Opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Transitions<\/li>\n<li>ASN Family Support and Parent Peer Support Groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What our colleagues have said about the FLAG sessions:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8216;These sessions always give me a feel-good factor, I leave feeling supported and energised&#8217;, <\/em>Primary Teacher, Sandwood Primary.,<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I learned so much about agencies who can support our families experiencing poverty today. I&#8217;m going to go back to school and talk to the Headteacher about new Cost of School Day initiative&#8217;s we could put in place&#8217; Family Support Worker.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8216;I found this meeting perfect and it was great knowing what is next on the agenda.
