Glasgow Life Family Learning Team

FLAGS (Family Learning Action Groups)

The team facilitates Primary and Early Years FLAGS.  As you can view on our FLAG video, these termly meetings provide an opportunity for all Primary and Early Years staff involved in family learning to share good practice and build collegial relationships. Each meeting is themed around the needs of members, and over the last few years we have covered various topics, working in partnership with community organisations and Education colleagues (our Guest Speakers), who bring and share their knowledge.  Topics have included:

  • Family Learning Programmes
  • Family ESOL
  • Family Learning for P4-7
  • Funding Opportunities
  • Transitions
  • ASN

What our colleagues have said about the FLAG sessions:

‘These sessions always give me a feel-good factor, I leave feeling supported and energised’, Primary Teacher, Sandwood Primary.

‘I found this meeting perfect and it was great knowing what is next on the agenda. I took away some new contacts that I could use to further support our families.  I always feel so valued and welcome at these meetings so thank you. I will also look at the QR codes and additional information shared’, Depute Head of Centre, Molendinar FLC.

These are our FLAG Dates for the 2025-2026 session:
