{"id":5868,"date":"2026-02-05T13:13:49","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T13:13:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/glasgowcreate\/?p=5868"},"modified":"2026-02-05T13:13:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T13:13:49","slug":"citywide-primary-project-2026-alive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/glasgowcreate\/citywide-primary-project-2026-alive\/","title":{"rendered":"Citywide Primary Project 2026 &#8211; Alive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are delighted to launch this year&#8217;s&nbsp;<strong>Citywide Singing Project&nbsp;<\/strong>for all&nbsp;<strong>Glasgow Primary and Primary ASN schools.&nbsp;<\/strong>Please&nbsp;feel free to access the resources or share the information below with colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the success of&nbsp;<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/glasgowcreate\/its-our-home-glasgow-citywide-video-premiere-for-glasgows-850th-anniversary\/\">It\u2019s Our Home, Glasgow<\/a><\/em>, this year\u2019s song is&nbsp;<strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgowcreate.online\/alive\">\u201cAlive\u201d by Skipinnish<\/a><\/em><\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgowcreate.online\/alive\">&nbsp;<\/a>\u2014 a joyful, uplifting anthem celebrating resilience, joy and connection. Permission has kindly been granted by songwriter&nbsp;<strong>Angus MacPhail<\/strong>, who has also provided a&nbsp;<strong>Gaelic translation of the chorus (S\u00e8ist)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools can access a full set of&nbsp;<strong>free, accessible teaching resources for Early-Second Level<\/strong>, created by CREATE YMI Tutors. This includes teaching videos, a lyric sheet, backing and guide tracks, Makaton chorus and Gaelic S\u00e8ist (chorus) learning videos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udfb5&nbsp;All resources are available now at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.glasgowcreate.online\/alive\">www.glasgowcreate.online\/alive<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udfa5 Participating schools are invited to submit a filmed class performance to be included in a&nbsp;<strong>citywide video montage<\/strong>, celebrating the voices of pupils across Glasgow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to take part:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learn your section(s) using the provided resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Film your class singing to the backing track provided<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload the video to Glow OneDrive and share with\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:gw16oneillmartin@glow.ea.glasgow.sch.uk\">gw16oneillmartin@glow.ea.glasgow.sch.uk<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2b50&nbsp;Deadline for submissions:<\/strong><strong>Thursday 2nd April 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope you\u2019ll join us in this exciting citywide celebration of singing and Scottish culture!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to launch this year&#8217;s&nbsp;Citywide Singing Project&nbsp;for all&nbsp;Glasgow Primary and Primary ASN schools.&nbsp;Please&nbsp;feel free to access the resources or share the information below with colleagues.
