The award is supported by&nbsp;<strong>Help Musicians<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Scottish Government\u2019s Youth Music Initiative through Creative Scotland<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Youth Music<\/strong>, and exists to help young Scottish artists take the next big step in their career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A former member of&nbsp;<strong>Glasgow Schools\u2019 Big Band<\/strong>, Alice has gone on to build a growing profile as a&nbsp;<strong>singer-songwriter and vocalist<\/strong>, with a distinctive \u201cretro-pop \/ pop-opera\u201d sound and a string of high-profile live performances and radio play. On receiving the award, she told the audience how much the Scottish music scene means to her, adding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI love making music, and I love Scotland so much, and I love the Scottish music scene\u2026 I\u2019m a lot happier now!
