They offer the chance to rehearse, perform and grow in confidence as part of a musical community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The percussion pathway begins with percussion ensemble and can lead on to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Concert Band<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Symphonic Wind Band<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glasgow Schools\u2019 Symphony Orchestra<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who it\u2019s for<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our percussion pathway includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Percussion Ensemble<\/strong>\u00a0for players from Grade 1\/ P7+<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Senior Percussion Ensemble<\/strong>\u00a0for players Grade 4+ (<em>teacher recommendation only<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are unsure which ensemble is the best fit for your child, please speak&nbsp;with their teacher or contact us using the details provided on this page for advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What happens<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pupils rehearse together as part of a percussion ensemble, building confidence, rhythm skills, ensemble awareness and performance experience. These groups give young musicians the chance to develop by playing with others in a supportive setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where and when<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Venue:<\/strong>&nbsp;City Halls, 87 to 101 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Percussion Ensemble&nbsp;<\/strong><br>10.00 to 11.00am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senior Percussion Ensemble&nbsp;<\/strong>(<em>teacher recommendation only<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.00 to 10.00am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturdays &#8211; please see the calendar for dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How progression works<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As young people develop their musical and ensemble skills, they may move from Percussion Ensemble to Senior Percussion Ensemble in addition to participation in Concert Band, then Symphonic Wind Band, and ultimately Glasgow Schools\u2019 Symphony Orchestra.
