They offer the chance to rehearse, perform and grow in confidence as part of a musical community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brass pathway begins with brass ensemble and can lead on to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Concert Band<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Symphonic Wind Band<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glasgow Schools\u2019 Symphony Orchestra<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who it\u2019s for<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our brass ensembles are for young people who play<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trumpet\/Cornet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>French Horn\/Tenor Horn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Baritone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trombone\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Euphonium<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuba<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The brass pathway includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Junior Brass Ensemble<\/strong>&nbsp;for players from beginner to Grade 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Senior Brass Ensemble<\/strong>&nbsp;for players working at Grade 5 and above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are unsure which ensemble is the best fit for your child, please speak to their teacher or use the contact details on the page for advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What happens<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pupils rehearse as part of a brass ensemble, developing confidence, musical skills and ensemble awareness through playing with others. These groups help young musicians build technique, listen carefully and prepare for performances as part of a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where and when<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Venue:<\/strong>&nbsp;City Halls, 87 to 101 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Brass Ensemble<\/strong><br>9.00 to 10.00am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senior Brass Ensemble<\/strong><br>10.00 to 11.00am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturdays<\/strong> &#8211; please see the calendar for dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How progression works<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Progression through the brass pathway is not automatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As young people develop their musical and ensemble skills, they may move from brass ensemble into&nbsp;Concert Band, then&nbsp;Symphonic Wind Band, and ultimately&nbsp;Glasgow Schools\u2019 Symphony Orchestra.
