National crime Reading Month aims t bring new books to existing readers and new readers to the world\u2019s most popular and best-selling genre.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pride_Month#:~:text=Pride%20Month%20is%20observed%20in,series%20of%20gay%20liberation%20protests.\">Pride Month<\/a>: \u00a0<\/strong>Pride Month is an annual celebration dedicated to the celebration of LGBTQ+ history and contributions and coincides with the anniversary if the 1969 Stonewall riots.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldenvironmentday.global\/\">World Environment Day<\/a> (5<sup>th<\/sup> June): <\/strong>World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/depts\/los\/reference_files\/worldoceansday.htm\">World Oceans Day (<\/a>8<sup>th<\/sup> June): <\/strong>World Oceans Day aims to raise the awareness of the current challenges faced by the international community in connection with the oceans.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/empathylab.uk\/empathy-day\/\">Empathy Day<\/a> (12th June): <\/strong>Empathy Day is a national event in the UK that is part of the wider Empathy Day festival running from June 2<sup>nd<\/sup>-12<sup>th<\/sup>. The theme for 2025 is \u201cWhat\u2019s your spark?\u201d. The day aims to inspire children and young people to learn about empathy and experience it through stories and put it into action.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/refugeeweek.org.uk\/\">Refugee Week<\/a> (16<sup>th<\/sup>-22<sup>nd<\/sup>): <\/strong>Refugee Week is the world\u2019s largest arts &amp; culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity, and resilience pf refugees and people seeking sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.windrushday.org.uk\/\">Windrush Day<\/a> (22<sup>nd<\/sup> June): Windrush Day marks the anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> June 1948 and to recognise and thank all of those from the Windrush generation and their descendants to their enormous contributions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inwed.org.uk\/\">International Women in Engineering Day<\/a> (23<sup>rd<\/sup> June): <\/strong>International Women in Engineering Day is an international campaign that aims to raise the profile of women in engineering and encourage more people to consider engineering career.
