Book Week Scotland:<\/strong> We hosted our Book Week Scotland quiz during lunchtime and collaborated with the English department to host a series of \u2018Book Speed Dating\u2019 sessions for the S1 classes. The library set up five stations consisting of books across different genres such as \u2018Comedy\u2019, \u2018Thrills and Chills\u2019, \u2018Realistic\u2019, Speculative\u2019, and \u2018Nonfiction\u2019. Groups spent five minutes at each table, reading and rating books before moving onto the next stations. Pupils loved this activity as they got to discover books across different genres they otherwise wouldn’t have tried. Special thanks to Miss Lugton for the brilliant idea!<\/p>\n

Remembrance Day: Shawlands Academy honored Remembrance Day<\/a> on November 11th<\/sup> with a minute of silence at 11am.<\/p>\n
