World Autism Acceptance Week runs from 2nd to 8th April 2024.

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. More than one in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK (source).

Unfortunately, the school being closed for a well-deserved spring break means that our pupils will not be in the library to explore our collection and display for this week, but school librarians can be trusted to make sure autism visibility and acceptance are important elements of our stock representation all year round.
