Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone to the Library, with a special welcome to the new S1s.
S1 Pupils
You will get a Library induction with your English class, once you’ve had some time to settle in to school. But you can begin visiting the Library straight away – you don’t need to wait for your induction.

The Library can be found in the corridor between Maths and Drama, on the first floor.
Opening Hours
The Library opens for business as usual on Wednesday 18 August, The opening hours are as follows:
8.30am to 4pm.
Closed at interval
Open at lunchtime
The Role Playing Games Club starts after school again next week, on Wednesday 25 August. Please see the Club Team for more information.
Books
There are two important and excellent points to remember about the book collections:
- We no longer need to quarantine books for 72 hours. Instead, please make sure that you sanitise your hands before and after browsing the shelves.
- There are lots of new books in the library – some are on display while others are lurking on the shelves to surprise you.
What’s happening in the the Library?
There are lots of plans for the coming term and the school year, but I’m not going to overload you with information on your first day back. Watch this space, the new Library noticeboard in the corridor opposite the School Office, and the wall outside the Library
