Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies is a structured programme that has been running successfully in Glasgow’s nurseries for a number of years. It aims to teach children about emotions and self regulation in a meaningful and accessible way. Each year we have a number of Local Authority centres who elect to be part of a fully supported cohort, delivered by the Leaders of Early Learning. The delivery of the programme is managed in conjunction with Psychological Services using an implementation science approach. The Leaders of Early Learning offer an information session where you can hear more about the approach and decide if it is right for your centre. Furthermore, if Partner nurseries are looking to invest in the PATHs resources, we can discuss how the Leaders of Early Learning can best support this.
