What is Playing with Sounds?
It is a sharing time between adult and child that involves playing games.
What does it do?
Playing with Sounds helps to develop your child’s oral language and literacy skills.
How does it work?
There is a pack of children’s games and activities.
Each game includes a card which tells you how to play the game.
Play Together – Explains how to play each game.

How long will it take?
You can borrow each game for 1 week at a time.
During that week you are asked to spend approximately 15 minutes twice a week playing with your child.
There is a diary for you and your child to make a comment.
