Secondary PT/FH Curricular Networks

With the new term well under way, Sharon and I have been speaking at many of the curricular network meetings across the city. We have been delivering to Principal Teachers and Faculty Heads about the West Partnership Assessment and Moderation Self Evaluation Toolkit and giving a brief overview of what it is, how it works and how this can be used in departments and faculties. The aim is to help raise awareness of the tool to support colleagues in how to evaluate their assessment and moderation practices and enable them to identify strengths and areas for development.

We have also been sharing plans for the February Moderation 2024 and what this looks like for certain subject areas. We are sharing this information at HT, DHT and PT/FH level as well as with our QAMSO and QAMSO Leads across the city to ensure adequate time is given to prepare and plan for the moderation activities. Feedback from the last in service highlighted that not all establishments were fully aware of the plans for moderation and needed further support in arranging this.

We hope that the information has found its way to all staff and plans are underway to create groups to moderate with. There are training sessions running throughout the year to support this, so please keep an eye on CPD Manager for these as they become available to book. We are also happy to support CLPL in schools, departments and across learning communities, so if you would like more bespoke support, please get in touch using the link above.
