Ahead of Monday’s Unit 2 test please ensure that you are revising all ‘Metabolism and Survival’ key areas including:

• Metabolic pathways and their control
• Cellular respiration
• Metabolic rate
• Metabolism in conformers and regulators
• Metabolism and adverse conditions
• Environmental control of metabolism
• Genetic control of metabolism
• Ethical considerations in the use of microorganisms

You should be using your class notes, summary notes and worksheets as well as Scholar (accessed using your GLOW login which you were all given in class) and the Biology @ Hyndland website to help with your revision.

Please finish completing Unit 2 Part 2 booklets up to and including page 72.

Please complete pages 52-66 in Unit 2 Part 2 booklet and ensure you have this with you for Monday’s class.

Please let me know on Monday of any issues with your prelim revision in order to make arrangements next week for any additional support you may require.

Please ensure that you complete your summary note and worksheets on both aerobic and anaerobic respiration for Tuesday 30th November.

Thursday 28th October – Unit 1 UASP
