School Uniform 
Our uniform was agreed in consultation with pupils and parents. It is expected that all children attending Cuthbertson Primary School will adhere to this dress code.

The school uniform is:

  • White or Yellow shirt or polo shirt
  • Cardigan, sweatshirt or jumper – green or grey
  • School tie- green & gold stripes
  • Grey or black trousers
  • Grey or green or black skirt

Sweatshirts, cardigans and polo shirts with the school logo are available for purchase from Trutex in Osborne St beside Argyle St Station.

Ties are available from the school office price £4

Please note that we do not carry insurance to cover the loss of clothing and other items.

All clothing including jackets should be clearly marked with your child’s name to avoid loss or confusion with others’ clothing.

PE Kit

It is important that pupils come prepared to learn and for PE this requires an appropriate change of clothing:

  • T Shirt,
  • Trainers or gym shoes,
  • Shorts, leggings or jogging trousers
  • All jewellery should be removed.

Clothing & Footwear Grants

Families on low incomes may be eligible to receive a School Clothing Grant award of £120 for a Primary aged child or £150 for a Secondary aged child.  The award is given annually to assist with the cost of purchasing essential school clothing for families who are on a qualifying benefits.

You may be eligible for a school clothing grant if you have a child that attends a Glasgow school and you receive any of the following benefits:

  • Housing Benefit/ Council Tax Reduction (this is not Council Tax single person’s discount or student discount)
  • Universal Credit (UC), and your monthly take home pay is £625 or less.
  • Income Support/Income based Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA) or any income related element of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Child Tax Credits only (CTC) with an annual income of less than £16,105
  • Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit with an annual income of less than £15,050
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
