Primary 1 Registration
Our enrolment for P1 is in November. Look out for enrolment details in the local newspaper and our school newsletter.
At Cuthbertson, we have developed a structured induction programme for all children entering to Primary 1 in August. Close liaison between pre school establishments and Cuthbertson ensures a postitive successful start to the children’s primary school careers. Throughout the year there are opportunities for staff to visit local nurseries and for the children to also visit our school. In May, we look forward to seeing the children for a series of afternoons when they will meet their class teacher and spend time in their classroom. Parents are also invited on this day to join us and to hear about the things their child will be doing during their first year at school. Before the end of term, Staff also visit the children in their nurseries. This is always an enjoyable experience for both teachers and their new pupils.
In August we hold workshops to show you how best to support your child at home with learning to read and write and develop numeracy skills.
Additionally, Primary 1 teachers will be available throughout the year to discuss any matters concerning your child.
