To register you should complete an online application and submit no later than Friday 8 November 2024.<\/p>\n<p>It is usual practice for children to attend their local catchment primary school.<\/p>\n<p>If you live in the Glasgow City boundary you must register your child for P1 at one of your catchment schools.\u00a0 You have a choice schools:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-Denominational<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"external link opens in new window\" href=\"https:\/\/sces.org.uk\/catholic-schools\/\">Roman Catholic (RC)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are unfamiliar with schools within your catchment area, please use our\u00a0<a title=\"external mapping site, opens in new window\" href=\"https:\/\/glasgowgis.maps.arcgis.com\/apps\/webappviewer\/index.html?id=3296a79016c34af98c4e71c0f1e02fa5\">School catchment lookup.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Parents who may wish to consider enrolling their child in\u00a0<strong>Gaelic Medium Education\u00a0<\/strong>should visit\u00a0<a class=\"a-body__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/article\/6723\/Choosing-Gaelic-Medium-Education\">this page<\/a>\u00a0for more information on this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"accordianSelector open\">Enrolling your Child for Primary 1<\/h2>\n<div class=\"ca-container\">\n<p>P1 registration for children starting school for\u00a0August 2022 will take place from:-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0November 2021 &#8211; Friday 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2021.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"opens in a new browser window\" href=\"https:\/\/p1enrolment.edhqwebmis.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener\">P1 Enrolment form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Families will be notified of their confirmed P1 place no later than April 2024.\u00a0 Schools will contact parents and carers to invite their children to special open days and visits ahead of the new school term in August 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To register your child at the local catchment school you will need<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A digital copy of the child&#8217;s birth certificate (The requirement to upload a birth certificate only applies to children who did not attend a nursery or pre-school operated by Glasgow City Council)<\/li>\n<li>The name of the local school\/centre you wish to register the child. If you are unfamiliar with schools within your catchment area, please use our\u00a0<a title=\"external mapping site, opens in new window\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.esriuk.com\/app\/MyNearest\/17\/view\/e7479955ee2a49db81793a2fdf3baa0c\/index.html\">School catchment lookup<\/a>\u00a0before completing the\u00a0form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is usual practice for children to attend their local catchment primary school.<\/p>\n<p>Check the local catchment primary school and Gaelic medium school for your address.<\/p>\n<p>Parents\/Carers will have the opportunity to visit their local catchment school and should check the day(s), time(s) for visits with the school concerned.<\/p>\n<p>If you are considering deferring your child&#8217;s entry to Primary 1 in August 2022, you should still proceed to register them on line for their catchment school until your deferral application is confirmed.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow.gov.uk\/article\/25412\/Deferred-Entry-Revised-Process-2019\">Deferred Entry process.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Parents who may wish to enrol their child in Gaelic Medium Education can do so at one of the three schools below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>For North<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Glasgow Gaelic School, 147 Berkeley Street, Glasgow, G3 7HP.
