Aim : In this partnership CLPL between Glasgow CREATE and Glasgow Museums we aim to:

  • Develop knowledge of the visual elements in Art & Design, focusing on COLOUR and TONE
  • Provide examples of how these visual elements are represented within art and objects from Glasgow Museums’ collections
  • Enhance teaching practice by providing ideas for practical activities for the classroom

Highlight connections to the CREATE Expressive Arts Framework and sources of further inspiration.

Content: During this session, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear a short presentation explaining the visual elements and examples from Glasgow Museums’ collections
  • Take part in some short, practical art tasks relating to COLOUR and TONE. These tasks will use basic, easy-to-source materials which you can replicate back in class
  • Get creative in an informal and relaxed environment
  • Share ideas and experience with fellow teachers and museum educators

Refreshments will be served on arrival.

Notes : Please note: this Twilight is a repeat of the one delivered in session 23-24.
