In this partnership CLPL between Glasgow CREATE and Glasgow Museums we aim to:
- Develop knowledge of the visual elements in Art & Design, focusing on COLOUR and TONE
- Provide examples of how these visual elements are represented within art and objects from Glasgow Museums’ collections
- Enhance teaching practice by providing ideas for practical activities for the classroom
Highlight connections to the CREATE Expressive Arts Framework and sources of further inspiration. |
| Content: |
During this session, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Hear a short presentation explaining the visual elements and examples from Glasgow Museums’ collections
- Take part in some short, practical art tasks relating to COLOUR and TONE. These tasks will use basic, easy-to-source materials which you can replicate back in class
- Get creative in an informal and relaxed environment
- Share ideas and experience with fellow teachers and museum educators
