| Aim : | To explore practical activities using Samba instruments (First/Second Level).
To develop skills and confidence in leading Samba activities with a group or class. |
| Content: | Throughout this series of three twilight sessions, a Create YMI tutor will lead participants in practical activities using Samba instruments.
Participants will learn about features of Samba such as the ‘groove’ and ‘call and response’, putting these into practice during the sessions. Participants will be directed to resources which are available to support the learning and teaching of samba. The course is aimed at teachers who currently lead, or plan to establish, a school Samba band, but is also suitable for teachers looking to deliver whole class Samba lessons. |
