Celtic Connections Festival Mini Concert Programme

The 2021 Celtic Connections Festival Mini Concert Programme will be going live on Monday 18th January at 10am (barring technical problems). There is a variety of events for all stages of nursery and primary schools, with some of the content also suitable for secondary school pupils. The concerts are performed by some of Scotland’s very fine singers and musicians.

The 24 events include Scots song, with Celine Donoghue, Rachel Lightbody and Claire Hastings. A Burns concert, with Celine Donoghue and Neil Sturgeon, including Kevin MacLeod reading Tam O’Shanter. Gaelic song, with Joy Dunlop and Catherine Tinney. Concerts featuring a mixture of Gaelic and Scots song, with Suzanne Fivey. Clarsach, with Rachel Hair. There will also be a 3 concert “Introduction to Indian Music”, with Dr Alec Cooper, sitar; Shruti Bujarbaruah, vocal, and Sodhi, tabla.

All the mini concerts can be accessed here:

I hope that you and your pupils enjoy these mini concerts. They will remain online throughout the year. Any feedback would be gratefully received. Hopefully we will be back live at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in 2022.

We were also planning to stream 5 concerts featuring musicians appearing at the Festival. Unfortunately, these will not be available in January, but they will be available during February. Access details will follow.
