Information for Members and Parents\/Guardians\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are delighted to announce details of Glasgow Schools\u2019 Symphony Orchestra 2024-25 schedule. GSSO provides a unique opportunity for Young People from across Glasgow schools to experience professional orchestral training, repertoire and performance delivered by our team of highly talented staff.<\/p>\n

The APPLICATION FORM<\/strong>\u00a0can be accessed here<\/strong><\/a> and the closing date for applications is 24th September 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

AUDITIONS <\/strong>will take place week beginning 7th October 2024 in City Halls, you will be informed of audition times by email once your application has been received.<\/p>\n

Please be prepared to perform a short piece of roughly grade four or above at your audition, you will also be given a short piece of sight reading and asked to play a scale of your choice. Following your auditions places will be confirmed by email. Your instrumental instructor will be able to help you prepare and answer any further questions you have.<\/p>\n

GSSO Course Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s course fees are \u00a3280 however if your child is in receipt of a Clothing Grant and\/or free school meals, there is a reduced fee of \u00a393. Please note, these fees are for GSSO only and the invoice for GSSO will be issued in April 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Notice of withdrawal <\/strong>must be emailed to Pamela Black, E.S.O., Instrumental Music Service, Pamela.Black@education.glasgow.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n

Please remember, there is a high demand for places and it is important that if you accept a place you should be prepared to honour that commitment.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
