Santa came to Cleeves 🎅🏻
We were very lucky this week to have received an early visit from Santa and his little helpers. The boys and girls from Primary 1 and Primary 3 took a trip to the Grotto, they even got a present. They are all definitely on his ‘good list’ 😀.
P3-2 met Santa today!
P3-2 were so excited today to go and visit santa! They were met by his elf and then taken into the grotto! All the children in P3-2 were definitely on his good list and were given a delicious treat! Thank you Santa and his helpers.

On Friday 8th December Primary 1 were invited to Darnley Court Care Home to visit Santa, the reindeer and his special helpers. All of the boys and girls had a great afternoon. They sat in Santas sleigh, met Santa, got a present and they even got to meet 2 of his reindeer.
As a special treat for writing such wonderful Christmas letters they all got a lovely cup of hot chocolate to warm themselves up – it was yummy!
Primary 5 visited the Glasgow Science Centre to take part in the Santa’s Sleigh Challenge!

Christmas Fair
Our Christmas Fair was held on Friday 1st December and again was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone who helped on the day. Lots of wonderful handmade crafts were on sale as well as some competitions – congratulations to everyone who won one of our competitions.
P7 Swimming Success
We would just like to say a big ‘Well Done’ to all of our P7 swimmers on their swimming achievements!
Time for an update…P1
Sorry we have been so quiet recently – a lot has been happening over the last few weeks: we had visitors from Hillpark Secondary – asking us about our favourite toys and using that information to make toys for us.
2d shape
The boys and girls have been learning to name and identify 2d shapes. They enjoyed copying shape pictures and using marshmallows and cocktail sticks to mKe their own 2d shapes – helping to understand the terms ‘corners’ and ‘sides’.
Road Safety Week
During road safety week the boys and girls learned where and how to cross the road safely.
Class Dojo
Lots of points being earned through our ‘Class Dojo’. Look at some of the children who have reached 50 points so far and received a certificate Home! Well done 😀
Maths & Literacy
STEM
During our science activities we have been learning about forces. This week we were making our own boats and will be using them to investigate floating and sinking but also finding different ways to make the boat move across the water.
