On Monday ALL the boys and girls in Cleeves had their Christmas parties but it was an extra special day for the children in P1 – P3 – SANTA came to visit.
We sprinkled some reindeer food and sang jingle bells really loudly so he knew where we were. He even brought presents with him as we are all on his ‘Good List’

The boys and girls in Primary 1 really enjoyed all their Christmas themed maths and language activities this week.

The boys and girls in P1-7 were treated to a wonderful performance of Aladdin by Hopscotch Theatre. Lots of fun and laughter was had by all children and staff. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
Today we had a wonderful surprise……2 of Santa’s very special helpers had taken time out of their very busy schedule to come and visit all the boys and girls in Cleeves. The boys and girls really loved meeting the elves and the 2 reindeer.
We then came back to class to see that Buddy the elf had left us a little treat from the North Pole bakery.
On Monday the boys and girls in P1-3 had the opportunity to come along to the Christmas Film Club and watch Arthur Christmas. Everyone involved had a wonderful time. We would like to say a very big thank you to the Parent Council for making up little treat bags and the teachers for staying to look after us. We can’t wait for the next one…
Last week Primary 1 went on a trip to the Science Centre to take part in a magical adventure. All the boys and girls had a great time, they even had time to explore the different levels and interact in lots of fun activities.
Buddy the elf wanted to come too so he put himself in this box.
It has been a very busy couple of weeks in school and we haven’t had time to update our blog page….have a look at all the fun learning that has taken place over the last couple of weeks.
Language
At language time we have been continuing with our learning of cvc words through onset and rime. The boys and girls really love jumping through the hoops to sound out nee words.
We also have been using the IPAD and listening station to develop our listening skills.
Maths
The boys and girls have been learning all about money. They can successfully identify all coins up to £1. They have enjoyed sorting the coins and using the coins to pay for items in the shop.
