We started off the week with a wonderful treat – the boys and girls got their book bug bags home.
In maths this week the boys and girls have been learning all about money. They have enjoyed sorting coins up to the value of £1, counting and matching amounts of money and role playing with the tills.

Proud to announce our Eco School Design a Poster competition winners!
Chosen by our Eco Committee, these posters will proudly be displayed in classrooms and around the school to
remind us to turn the lights off, promoting sustainability and taking care of our planet and using resources responsibly.
Well done to our winners and a big thank you for all of our entries, it was an afternoon of tough judging!
Last week P7 went to Hillpark for a STEM day.
First of all we made rockets to launch later that day. We made them out of card and sticky tape. Next we had our break and it was delicious.
Then we went to maths and learned how to find the average speed of our rocket. After that we went to science to launch our rockets outside to see how far they went.
After we launched our rockets we went for lunch. It was very tasty.
After lunch we tried to recreate our rockets in ICT. They were amazing. Here are some pictures from the day.

We started off the week with all the children being replaced by scary figures…..but not to panic they had all been returned by Tuesday.
The boys and girls started blending this week and we were so impressed with their knowledge of their sounds and how they applied them to blending to make words.
