The story is set in Glasgow and explores important themes such as friendship, identity and the challenges people can face when communities are divided.

As part of our learning, we had thoughtful class discussions about the issues raised in the book and how they affect the characters. Pupils shared their opinions, asked great questions and showed real empathy and understanding.

Following these discussions, Primary 7 took on a creative challenge: redesigning the front cover of Divided City.
