Transition from Associated Primary school<\/strong><\/div>\n

Whilst pupils are in Primary 7, staff visit the associated primary schools to talk with the pupils and evening meetings with parents are also organised in the primary school.<\/div>\n

The parents of pupils who are coming into our first year are invited to the school on an evening in June to meet the Head Teacher and senior staff.<\/div>\n

There are also familiarisation days for ALL Primary 7 pupils (who have been accepted to start Bellahouston Academy in August) on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th June, when they visit Bellahouston to help prepare for the subsequent transfer. The primary pupils enjoy these days immensely and our staff look forward to making an early acquaintance with their future pupils.<\/div>\n

Enrolling a Child from Overseas at a Glasgow School<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are keen that all children coming to live in the UK long-term are enrolled in school as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

There are several ways in which you can enrol your child in a Glasgow school depending on your right to be in the UK.\u00a0 While all parents and children from overseas must provide documentation to allow you to enrol your child, there are some differences to the process.\u00a0 The main ones are described below:<\/p>\n

British Nationals returning to the UK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Children attending secondary school should make an appointment with their local school to determine if there are places available for your child.<\/p>\n

You will need your passport, child\u2019s birth certificate and proof of address for all schools.<\/p>\n

Irish Nationals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rules for Irish nationals with Irish passports for yourself and your child remain unchanged following the UK\u2019s departure from the European Union.<\/p>\n

You should go to your local school to enrol.\u00a0 You will need your passport, child\u2019s passport, birth certificate and proof of address.<\/p>\n

Hong Kong Residents Moving to UK<\/strong><\/p>\n

The UK government has introduced the Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) Integration Programme.\u00a0 Applicants under this programme will have a British Nationals Overseas Visa (BNO).<\/p>\n

You should go to your local school to enrol.\u00a0 You will need your passport, child\u2019s passport, birth certificate, BNO and proof of address.<\/p>\n

All other nationals entering the UK (<\/strong>including family members without UK or Irish Citizenship)<\/p>\n
