Bellahouston Academy achieved the Bronze Award in partnership with LGBT Youth Scotland.<\/div>\n

The Bronze Award allows us to be more inclusive allies to our staff and pupils. It raisied awareness of LGBT issues through displays, lessons across the curriculum and celebration of benchmark moments in LGBT history.<\/div>\n

Our Champions group meets weekly (Wednesday lunchtimes in Mr Ruiseil’s PSHE room) and any pupil or staff member is very welcome to join us. We have a twitter account too, so give us a follow @BellaLGBTQ<\/div>\n

As a starting point, we surveyed staff and are preparing to survey pupils and carers to get a baseline on how educated and inclusive we currently are on these issues. We are inspired to make this school a place where anyone can be comfortable expressing who they are. If you have any questions at all then please get in touch with the school.
