Study skills

Study skills can be practised and improved upon in order for pupils to learn more effectively.  They can help decrease stress levels and enhance performance in assessments.
We remember 20% of what we read, 30% of what we hear, 40% of what we see, 50% of what we say and 60% of what we do, so it is important to use a variety of different techniques when we study.
This page is designed to support you with your studying by providing new and effective techniques for you to try.

The National Parent Forum of Scotland has produced N5 guides for parents.
