{"id":164,"date":"2020-07-16T10:20:18","date_gmt":"2020-07-16T09:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/battlefieldprimary\/?page_id=164"},"modified":"2020-07-22T12:09:20","modified_gmt":"2020-07-22T11:09:20","slug":"p7-transition","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/battlefieldprimary\/information\/p7-transition\/","title":{"rendered":"P7 Transition"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: center\"><strong>Shawlands Academy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Brief Profile: <\/strong>A meeting for prospective parents is held in the Autumn term in Battlefield Primary.\u00a0\u00a0This meeting is open to any parent of a child in Primary 7 and gives interested parents the chance to meet the Headteacher of Shawlands Academy.\u00a0\u00a0This meeting is an opportunity to hear about school routines, curriculum and to meet some of the key members of staff that children will work with in S1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liaison Activities: <\/strong>Regular consultation takes place throughout the session with Ms Sinclair, Depute Head Teacher, who is responsible for the primary-secondary liaison and the S1 curriculum at the Academy. All Primary 7s are encouraged to attend After School Clubs in November, where they will get the chance to meet staff and fellow pupils moving up to the secondary next session.\u00a0 Buses are provided for these clubs.
