We have been learning about fractions and how to share things in equal parts! We have continued to\u00a0use\u00a0this knowledge and we are beginning to understand where fractions are placed on a number line.<\/p>\n
We started with a full piece of newspaper: we used this piece of newspaper as a dance floor!\u00a0To make the dancing harder we folded the newspaper in\u00a0half, then half again. Therefore we were dancing on 1 half of the newspaper\u00a0and then 1 quarter. The clever boys and girls in primary 4 recognise that the newspaper got smaller which means that 1\/2 and 1\/4 are less than 1 whole.<\/p>\n
