We have continued to\u00a0use\u00a0this knowledge and we are beginning to understand where fractions are placed on a number line.<\/p>\n<p>We started with a full piece of newspaper: we used this piece of newspaper as a dance floor!\u00a0To make the dancing harder we folded the newspaper in\u00a0half, then half again. Therefore we were dancing on 1 half of the newspaper\u00a0and then 1 quarter. The clever boys and girls in primary 4 recognise that the newspaper got smaller which means that 1\/2 and 1\/4 are less than 1 whole.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was really fun!&#8221; Emily<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was challenging\u00a0when the newspaper got smaller.&#8221; Chen Min<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When the newspaper\u00a0got ripped some people started sliding!&#8221; Kyle<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was exciting because it was the first time we had done it.&#8221; Harley<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;IT didn&#8217;t make any sense at the start but it made sense in the end.&#8221; Leigha<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We got our groove on!&#8221; Jamie<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have been learning about fractions and how to share things in equal parts!
