{"id":30,"date":"2021-01-07T15:43:53","date_gmt":"2021-01-07T15:43:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/asltech\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2021-02-06T17:05:50","modified_gmt":"2021-02-06T17:05:50","slug":"learner-profile","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/gc\/asltech\/learner-profile\/","title":{"rendered":"Learner Profile"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong><u>Case study Pupil B (P7)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pupil B was given an identification of dyslexia when she was in P6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 She is a friendly popular girl who works hard in class.\u00a0 She enjoys Art and Drama and attends weekly dancing lessons.<\/p>\n<p>Pupil B has great oral skills and contributes well to both group and class discussions.\u00a0 Although she manages to access most curricular texts, her reading is very slow and well below chronological age.\u00a0 Pupil B has a visual disturbance and uses a green coloured overlay for reading.\u00a0 She often leaves it at home or cannot find it in class.\u00a0 The overlays are very expensive, and the school has now run out of the green ones.<\/p>\n<p>Pupil B finds it difficult to sequence and organise her ideas and this is becoming more of a concern now that the demands of the curriculum require more extended written responses.
