Throughout our school and, particularly in the early stages of primary, learning through play is seen as an important aspect of the school curriculum. It encourages the children to co-operate with each other and become independent, imaginative and collaborative learners. Teachers now use Playful Pedagogy learning strategies to deliver all areas of the curriculum. Activities include maths and language games, role play, art and craft, sand and water and construction. Further information can be viewed in our School Play Policy and P1 parents are invited to a range of workshops to support understanding.
