What is Place2Be?
Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in Antonine Primary School, building children’s resilience through talking, creative work and play.
Place2Talk
One aspect of the service is Place2Talk – a lunchtime drop-in service which is open to all children every Thursday and Friday. Here, children can make an appointment to spend 15 minutes with a trained counsellor to talk about friendships, concerns or any worries they may have. This is a very popular service and children can attend by themselves or with friends.
Place for Parents
A Place for Parents is a free, confidential counselling service giving all parents/carers the opportunity to speak with a qualified counsellor about any concerns or worries they might have about their children, themselves, their family, home or work life.
To find out more about the service, or be referred for an appointment with our parent counsellor, please contact the head teacher or the Place2Be School Project Manager on 0141 944 6923.
Place2Think
Place2Be provides teachers and other school staff with training and support that supports their ccomplex and demanding roles, including training in basic counselling and communication skills.
